A Thousand Butterflies have just landed in Easingwold!

In partnership with the Co-op and EasiWorks (Autism Plus) we are now proud to announce that the project to create a community art installation of over 1,000 colourful butterflies has been completed.

A stream of beautiful butterflies fluttering under the library’s willow much-loved willow tree is a very striking and memorable reflection of the years 2020 and 2021 and how their particular challenges have affected everyone.

Do please drop by the library and see them while they are here.

This inspiring and stunning art installation has involved hundreds of people in the community in its creation. Thanks to everyone who took part – we hope you enjoy seeing your creations fluttering bravely in the sunshine!
