Book Bundles is a service we’re offering our customers who don’t wish to come into the library to choose their own books.
What IS a book bundle?
Book bundles are collections of books of a similar genre or topic that you can pre-order for collection from the library. Each bundle comprises four books for adults and three books for juniors. Adult readers may select one bundle at a time – either fiction or non-fiction. Juniors may choose two bundles of the same type or two different ones.

How do THEY work?
When you order a book bundle we’ll try to match your choice, stock permitting. We’ll do our best to meet any special requests or preferences though we cannot promise that we’ll always be able to do so.
Your book bundle will be quarantined for a minimum of 72 hours and we’ll ring you to arrange a time for you to collect it from the library. Pick it up from the trolley in the entrance lobby. The books will already have been issued to your library account.
Once you’ve enjoyed your books, simply return them to the library during our opening hours. Just follow the signs to the rear door where you’ll find special bins in which you can place your items.
The return date for will be noted in the books and it’ll be three weeks after the collection date we agreed with you. Please try and return them in good time.
We give three days’ leeway after the return date to allow for our book quarantining system, but after that fines for overdue items will start to accrue to your library account. If returning your books to us on time is a problem or if you would like to extend the loan period please ring us on 01609 534584 or renew online here.
Please respect social distancing when visiting the library to collect and return books.
We also offer a free home delivery service for people who are unable to visit the library to collect and return their books.
