Book Bundles is a service for customers who cannot come into the library to choose their own books.
What IS a book bundle?
Book bundles are collections of books of a similar genre or topic that you can pre-order for collection from the library. Each bundle comprises four books for adults and three books for juniors. Adult readers may select one bundle at a time – either fiction or non-fiction. Juniors may choose two bundles of the same type or two different ones.

How do THEY work?
When you order a book bundle we’ll try to match your choice, stock permitting. We’ll do our best to meet any special requests or preferences though we cannot promise that we’ll always be able to do so.
Once your book bundle has been picked we’ll ring you to let you know it’s ready for you to collect. Pick it up from the entrance lobby of the building. The books will already have been issued to your library account so you won’t need to check them out at the self-service kiosk.
Once you’ve enjoyed your books simply return them to the library during our opening hours. Just inside the library entrance door you’ll find a bin in which you can place your returning items. You won’t need to enter the building.
The return date will be noted in the books and it’ll usually be three weeks after the date we phoned you about collecting them. Please try and return them in good time. We give three days’ leeway after the return date to allow for our book quarantining system. After that fees for overdue items will start to accrue to your library account.
If returning your books to us on time is a problem or if you’d like to extend the loan period please ring us on 01609 534584. You can also renew loans online here.
We offer a free home delivery service for people who are unable to visit the library to collect and return their books.
