visiting the library
You’ll enter the library via the usual main entrance. As you come in you’ll find bins in which you can place any items you’re returning. We’ll check your items back in for you that day.
If you’re only visiting to return items you’ll find a bin for them just inside the entrance lobby so there’ll be no need for you to go into the main library area.
We have a simple track and trace system in place. If you wish, please record your name and phone number on the sheet provided, or use the NHS Covid-19 app on your phone to scan the QR code displayed.
We ask please that you sanitise your hands and choose to wear a mask.
You’ll then follow a one-way route around the library so far as practicable. Please respect other people’s space.
Leave the building via the rear door, using the self-service kiosk by the exit to check-out any items you wish to borrow.
We’re very sorry that there are no newspapers and only limited public seating at present.
PLease help to keep you and our volunteers safe
We politely request that you:
- Don’t enter the library if you have Covid symptoms.
- Choose to wear a face covering while you’re in the library.
- Sanitise your hands. There are sanitising stations around the library
- Respect other people’s space and their choices.
There may be occasions when we are unable to open library on particular days because of a lack of volunteer staff. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this might cause.
While we’re closed you can access a range of online library services including loan renewals here. Alternatively, ring us on 01609 534584 and leave a message including your contact details. We’ll get in touch as soon as we re-open.
