If you find it difficult to get to your local library we can help you.
Our Home Library and Information Service (HLIS) brings books, DVDs, audiobooks, music CDs and information right to your door.
Our friendly volunteers deliver items to you once a fortnight. We can choose books to suit your tastes and either deliver them to you or keep them at the library ready for collection by a member of your family, a carer or a friend.
You may be eligible for the service if you are unable to visit the library or carry books because of ill-health or disability, or if you are a carer. We deliver to people who live in residential and nursing homes, too.
This is a service that you can dip into and out of to suit your needs. For example, if you are housebound recovering from an operation for a few months then you can opt in to the HLIS and when you are feeling better, opt out.
