We’re very sorry that the community library is closed for the time being to support the well-being of our customers and volunteers during the current health emergency. All existing loans have been extended to three months automatically. Any fines for overdue items which accrue during the closure period will be waived.
PLEASE DO NOT POST RETURNED BOOKS THROUGH THE LIBRARY LETTERBOX because it damages them. Please hang onto them until we re-open. While we’re closed you can still use your NYCC library card to access a variety of online library services and resources by clicking here.
Easingwold Community Library and Information Centre opened its doors in community ownership in April 2017.
The library is managed and run by dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers. Our aim is to develop the library as a much-valued part of the community.
We’re for all ages and free to join. Just call in and you’ll be a member in a few minutes. You can then borrow books, large-print editions, books for children and teens, rent audio books and movies on DVD and use library services. We receive new books every week.
We are a library run for the community by the community, working in partnership with North Yorkshire County Council.
