Volunteer with us

Join THE team!

We’re a very friendly bunch with one thing in common – we all love the library.

We can offer various roles and opportunities and by registering your interest in helping you’re not committing yourself to anything. We’ll send you more information so that you’ll be able to make a good, informed choice about whether you want to take things further.

Once you’ve decided that you’d like to become a library volunteer we’ll provide any training that you’ll need. This is usually delivered in Easingwold. Some will be simple, online learning that you can complete at home.

After training you’ll be able to choose library shifts to work – each of up to three hours – that suit you and fit in with your other interests and commitments. You’ll be supported by experienced volunteers as you learn the ropes and you’ll usually be working with at least two other volunteers.

If you’re over 18 and interested in finding out more about becoming a community library volunteer please call into the library or email ecl.generalenquiries@gmail.com . You can also contact us using the message form below.
