Opening times

Our opening times are:

Monday   10.00am – 12.30pm.   2.00pm – 5.00pm.

Tuesday   2.00pm – 5.00pm.

Wednesday Closed

Thursday  10.00am – 12.30pm.

Friday       10.00am – 12.30pm.   2.00pm – 5.00pm.

Saturday  10.00am – 12.30pm.

We do not open on Bank Holidays.


There may be occasions when we are unable to open the library on particular days because of a lack of volunteer staff. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this might cause.

While we’re closed you can access a range of online library services including loan renewals here. Alternatively, ring us on 01609 534584 and leave a message including your contact details. We’ll get in touch as soon as we re-open.

Where We Are

The library is located close to the Market Place in Easingwold town centre, just behind The Commercial pub. Look for the willow tree.

Getting to Easingwold

Bus services run to and from Easingwold via the surrounding villages. Buses stop in the Market Place. Details of these services can be found here, or by calling 0871 200 2233.


Limited car parking is available on the roadside outside the library. The main parking area is 50 metres away in the Market Place. Parking is free.


The library garden entrance nearest to the Market Place has two steps up with a handrail on each side.  Wheelchair users have easy access via the second garden entrance which is 30 metres further along Tanpit Lane.

The library building has an automatic door and a gently ramped entrance lobby with handrails.  Internally, the library is on one level with no steps. The building is equipped with a hearing loop. One of the four public computer workstations is wheelchair-friendly.

The nearest wheelchair-accessible toilet is located nearby on the Market Square.
